Research and Evaluation
The Institute participates in research and evaluation projects related to its field of practice.
Such projects are sometimes undertaken in partnership with academic institutions or other child and
family service organisations. As part of this commitment to research, one Institute staff member is on
the editorial board of Children Australia .
Present research projects include
- Professional consultant to a research project conducted by Valmar Support Services in Tumut, looking at the future needs for Home and Community Care Services in rural/remote NSW.
- Participant in an innovation project in the Marymead Disability Support Program of Marymead developing and trialling evaluation tools which can be used by direct services to plan and evaluate their services.
- Member of a team led by the University of Canberra developing training for the tertiary sector on including students with disability into studies and life of universities in Australia.
